# Waterfaster vs Lyte

The clearest difference is update cadence: Lyte at every 3 days against Waterfaster's every 11 days. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Waterfaster sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and Lyte sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Waterfaster ships an update every 11 days, Lyte every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 5, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
