# BoringNote vs Jott

The clearest difference is monetization model: BoringNote at free against Jott's free with in-app purchases. On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BoringNote sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Jott sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

BoringNote ships an update every 5 days, Jott weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
