# BoringNote vs RoadNotes

The clearest difference is update cadence: RoadNotes at every 2 days against BoringNote's every 5 days. BoringNote's advantage is iOS requirement (18.6 vs 26.4). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BoringNote sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and RoadNotes sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

BoringNote ships an update every 5 days, RoadNotes every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
