# Dear World vs PenPalk

The clearest difference is ads: Dear World at none against PenPalk's shown. Dear World also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs every 10 days). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Dear World sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and PenPalk sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Dear World ships an update every 4 days, PenPalk every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 26, 2026 respectively.
