Stop forgetting German words. Master Goethe-Institut vocabulary with science-backed spaced repetition. Learning German vocabulary feels like pouring water into a leaky bucket. You study 50 words today, remember 10 tomorrow. Traditional flashcard apps force you to review words you already know while the ones you forgot never come back. Goethe Pass fixes this with SRS (Spaced Repetition System), the same method used by polyglots and memory champions. Words you struggle with appear more frequently. Words you've mastered fade into long-term memory with perfectly timed reviews. Why Goethe Pass works: - Start studying in under a minute: Pick your level, start reviewing. No deck creation or import needed. - Complete Goethe coverage: All 6 levels (A1-C2), organized by CEFR difficulty. - Audio pronunciation: Hear every word spoken aloud with text-to-speech, works offline. - Grammar + example sentences: See how words are actually used, with grammar patterns and real examples. - Progress tracking: Visual stats show exactly how much you've mastered per level. Built for: Goethe-Institut exam candidates, German learners building real vocabulary, and anyone serious about German fluency. No gamification. No distractions. Just efficient learning. Premium: One-time purchase unlocks unlimited daily words and full level access. No subscriptions. Ever. Your data stays yours: Works fully offline. No account required. No ads. Minimal permissions.

MendSage (formerly Chatmend) helps you improve the language you're learning by chatting with friends or family who already speak it or are learning it too. An AI coach sits quietly inside the chat, catches the mistakes you can't see yourself, offers to finish your sentence when you're stuck, and explains grammar right on each message — only for those who are learning. It's correction first, translation only when you need it. Everyone understands what they're typing; the value is feedback on what you wrote, grounded in real conversations with people you care about. HOW IT WORKS • Message normally: Your messages send immediately, as written — the chat is never blocked. • Gentle feedback markers appear a beat later: – Clean: A light check. You nailed it. – Nudge: Correct, but a native would phrase it more naturally. A suggestion, not a failure. – Correction: Words underlined. Tap to see the fix and plain-language explanation. • Hear it spoken: Tap the speaker on a correction to hear the corrected sentence read aloud. • Deep grammar: Tap "Teach me more" to ask follow-up questions in private discussion threads. NEVER GET STUCK MID-CONVERSATION • Finish my thought: Stuck mid-sentence? Tap "Finish my thought" and pick from natural endings that fit your chat. Long-press a suggestion to see its translation before you use it. • On-demand message translation: Press and hold a message to read it in your own language when your partner uses unfamiliar phrasing. PRACTICE TOGETHER • 1:1 and group chats for couples, friends, and language exchange partners, all practicing the same language. • Mixed-level rooms just work: Native speakers can join uncorrected — mark a language as native and your messages are never coached, so a fluent friend or partner gives natural input while only the learners get feedback. • Choose the language your explanations are written in, so coaching meets you at your level. WHEN YOUR PARTNER ISN'T AROUND: CHAT WITH AN AI COMPANION Keep your practice going anytime with interactive AI conversation partners: • Pick a topic: Choose from nearly 50 everyday topics—food, travel, work, hobbies, and more—or type your own. Your companion writes at a level that suits you. • A range of personalities: Chat with different AI companion personas and get the exact same real-time feedback and sentence help as in human chats. THE RECAP TAB & MOMENTUM WITHOUT GUILT • The Recap tab: Save grammar cards from your chats, review vocabulary collected from real conversations with audio and definitions, and spot common mistake patterns. • No streaks to break: A correction is a learning moment, not a penalty. • Habit momentum: Watch your consistency grow with daily activity charts and earn XP multipliers as you chat. • Shareable cards: Share corrections, vocabulary, and weekly recaps as story cards in one tap. • Offline reading: Review your chats and study past corrections even when you have no signal. PRACTICE ACROSS 13 LANGUAGES MendSage supports 13 languages for both partner and AI companion practice: • Spanish (Español) • French (Français) • German (Deutsch) • Italian (Italiano) • Portuguese (Português) • Japanese (日本語) • Korean (한국어) • English (English) • Russian (Русский) • Ukrainian (Українська) • Dutch (Nederlands) • Polish (Polski) • Turkish (Türkçe) WHY IT'S DIFFERENT Translators bridge people who don't share a language — not the case here. Drill apps are solo and synthetic. MendSage lives inside a real relationship and real conversations: the feedback, the vocabulary, the patterns all come from language you genuinely used with someone you talk to every day. That's stickier and more memorable than any generic course. A supportive coach, never a red pen. The conversation stays the point; the learning rides along with it. Note: To coach your messages, MendSage processes message text on its servers using a trusted AI provider. See our Privacy Policy for what's collected and how it's handled.
