# SecondBrain vs Flipnotes

The clearest difference is ads: Flipnotes at none against SecondBrain's shown. SecondBrain's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs weekly) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, in-app purchases and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SecondBrain sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per month and Flipnotes sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SecondBrain ships an update every 3 days, Flipnotes weekly. The most recent releases landed on September 24, 2026 and September 21, 2026 respectively.
