# Letteringo vs passNote

The clearest difference is update cadence: passNote at every 5 days against Letteringo's every 3 weeks. Letteringo's advantage is iOS requirement (15.5 vs 18.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Letteringo sells 5 one-off in-app purchases and passNote sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Letteringo ships an update every 3 weeks, passNote every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
