# Root Access vs CTRL

The clearest difference is ads: CTRL at none against Root Access's shown. CTRL also leads on update cadence (every 6 days vs every 3 weeks) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Root Access sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month and CTRL sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Root Access ships an update every 3 weeks, CTRL every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
