# SunGuard vs GaitMetrics

The clearest difference is update cadence: GaitMetrics at daily against SunGuard's weekly. SunGuard's advantage is iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SunGuard sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and GaitMetrics sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SunGuard ships an update weekly, GaitMetrics daily. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
