# NoteSam vs Folio

The clearest difference is ads: Folio at none against NoteSam's shown. Folio also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 3 months). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. NoteSam sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Folio sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

NoteSam ships an update every 3 months, Folio every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
