# Ocean vs VidKit

The clearest difference is ads: Ocean at none against VidKit's shown. VidKit's advantage is update cadence (every 2 days vs fortnightly). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Ocean ships an update fortnightly, VidKit every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
