# TeachMode vs SightReader

The clearest difference is update cadence: SightReader at every 4 days against TeachMode's every 10 days. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TeachMode sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $9.99 per month and SightReader sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

TeachMode ships an update every 10 days, SightReader every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 5, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
