# Neon vs Foretell MTG

The clearest difference is ads: Neon at none against Foretell MTG's shown. Neon also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and ratings volume (37 vs 1). Foretell MTG's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 18.5). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neon sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month and Foretell MTG sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Foretell MTG holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Neon has 37 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Neon ships an update every 4 days, Foretell MTG every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
