# BeachScan vs Ithaca

The clearest difference is ads: Ithaca at none against BeachScan's shown. BeachScan's advantage is iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.6). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BeachScan sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and Ithaca sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

BeachScan ships an update every 10 days, Ithaca every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on October 3, 2026.
