# Sunspeak vs Mela AAC

The clearest difference is update cadence: Sunspeak at every 2 weeks against Mela AAC's every 3 months. Sunspeak also leads on iOS requirement (15.1 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Sunspeak sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and Mela AAC sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Sunspeak ships an update every 2 weeks, Mela AAC every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and November 2, 2026 respectively.
