# SteepPilot vs Steep

The clearest difference is update cadence: Steep at every 2 months against SteepPilot's every 6 months. SteepPilot's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SteepPilot sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Steep sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SteepPilot ships an update every 6 months, Steep every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
