# Kitabi vs Badawi

The clearest difference is rating: Badawi at 5.0 against Kitabi's 4.6. Badawi also leads on update cadence (every 3 days vs every 3 weeks). Kitabi's advantage is ratings volume (8 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Kitabi sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per month and Badawi sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Badawi holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Kitabi has 8 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Kitabi ships an update every 3 weeks, Badawi every 3 days. Both last shipped on October 28, 2026.
