# PushBlock vs DoomShield

The clearest difference is ads: PushBlock at none against DoomShield's shown. DoomShield's advantage is update cadence (every 4 days vs every 3 weeks) and iOS requirement (16.4 vs 26.2). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PushBlock sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days and DoomShield sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PushBlock ships an update every 3 weeks, DoomShield every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
