# HarpBend vs MusicToolKit

The clearest difference is ads: HarpBend at none against MusicToolKit's shown. HarpBend also leads on iOS requirement (16.0 vs 18.1). MusicToolKit's advantage is update cadence (daily vs every 5 months). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. HarpBend sells 6 one-off in-app purchases and MusicToolKit sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

HarpBend ships an update every 5 months, MusicToolKit daily. The most recent releases landed on October 11, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
