# Tromme vs PlumFM

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: PlumFM at none against Tromme's 3. PlumFM also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6). Tromme's advantage is update cadence (every 2 days vs every 6 days) and ratings volume (8 vs 1). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Tromme sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. PlumFM asks for nothing beyond the download.

PlumFM holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Tromme has 8 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Tromme ships an update every 2 days, PlumFM every 6 days. Both last shipped on October 29, 2026.
