# Basalt vs Lucyd

The clearest difference is rating: Basalt at 5.0 against Lucyd's 4.5. Lucyd's advantage is ratings volume (65 vs 1). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Basalt sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month and Lucyd sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Basalt holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Lucyd has 65 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Basalt ships an update every 10 days, Lucyd weekly. Both last shipped on October 31, 2026.
