# HamSat vs Ham Imaging

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Ham Imaging at none against HamSat's 1. Ham Imaging also leads on iOS requirement (15.0 vs 26.4). HamSat's advantage is update cadence (every 2 days vs every 11 days). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. HamSat sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Ham Imaging asks for nothing beyond the download.

HamSat ships an update every 2 days, Ham Imaging every 11 days. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
