# RunSplit vs IronZenkai

The clearest difference is ads: IronZenkai at none against RunSplit's shown. IronZenkai also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 18.0). RunSplit's advantage is update cadence (every 2 days vs every 5 days). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. RunSplit sells 4 one-off in-app purchases and IronZenkai sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

RunSplit ships an update every 2 days, IronZenkai every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on September 20, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
