# kromatika vs Wool Jam

The clearest difference is ads: kromatika at none against Wool Jam's shown. kromatika also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.8). Wool Jam's advantage is ratings volume (292 vs 4) and monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. kromatika sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Wool Jam sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

kromatika holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Wool Jam has 292 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

kromatika ships an update every 9 days, Wool Jam fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
