# Five Years vs RetroJournal

The clearest difference is update cadence: RetroJournal at weekly against Five Years's fortnightly. RetroJournal also leads on iOS requirement (15.1 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Five Years sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and RetroJournal sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Five Years ships an update fortnightly, RetroJournal weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
