# IELTS MySpeaking vs Speakfect

The clearest difference is update cadence: Speakfect at every 4 days against IELTS MySpeaking's every 2 months. Speakfect also leads on ratings volume (5 vs 1). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. IELTS MySpeaking sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and Speakfect sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for IELTS MySpeaking against 5.0 for Speakfect. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Speakfect has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

IELTS MySpeaking ships an update every 2 months, Speakfect every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
