# SoloMD vs Markdown Lite

The clearest difference is update cadence: Markdown Lite at every 3 days against SoloMD's every 3 weeks. SoloMD's advantage is device support (4 vs 2) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

SoloMD ships an update every 3 weeks, Markdown Lite every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on September 17, 2026 and September 27, 2026 respectively.
