# SoloMD vs Foldleaf Reader

The clearest difference is update cadence: SoloMD at every 2 days against Foldleaf Reader's fortnightly. SoloMD also leads on device support (4 vs 2) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.0). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SoloMD sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and Foldleaf Reader sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SoloMD ships an update every 2 days, Foldleaf Reader fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
