# PlaceDrop vs Pospot

The clearest difference is update cadence: Pospot at weekly against PlaceDrop's every 3 weeks. Pospot also leads on iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PlaceDrop sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Pospot sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PlaceDrop ships an update every 3 weeks, Pospot weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and November 1, 2026 respectively.
