# Console Guide vs MyGBA

The clearest difference is ads: Console Guide at none against MyGBA's shown. Console Guide also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and update cadence (every 5 days vs fortnightly). MyGBA's advantage is ratings volume (3 vs 1). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Console Guide sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and MyGBA sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
