# Beam vs Pitch Master

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Beam at none against Pitch Master's 5. Beam also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6). Pitch Master's advantage is ratings volume (586 vs 4) and update cadence (daily vs every 5 days). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Pitch Master sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Beam asks for nothing beyond the download.

Beam holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Pitch Master has 586 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 12% of Beam's written reviews are positive against 32% of Pitch Master's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Beam ships an update every 5 days, Pitch Master daily. Both last shipped on October 31, 2026.
