# Beam vs CutTime Connect

The clearest difference is review sentiment: CutTime Connect at 100% against Beam's 12%. CutTime Connect also leads on ratings volume (5 vs 1) and iOS requirement (16.4 vs 18.0). Beam's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 3.2) and update cadence (every 5 days vs every 3 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Beam holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: CutTime Connect has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 12% of Beam's written reviews are positive against 100% of CutTime Connect's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Beam ships an update every 5 days, CutTime Connect every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
