# MakerNote vs Fuse Bead

The clearest difference is update cadence: MakerNote at every 2 days against Fuse Bead's every 2 months. MakerNote also leads on iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MakerNote sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Fuse Bead sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

MakerNote ships an update every 2 days, Fuse Bead every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 7, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
