# Flare VPN vs SharPei VPN

The clearest difference is ads: Flare VPN at none against SharPei VPN's shown. SharPei VPN's advantage is ratings volume (10 vs 2). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Flare VPN sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and SharPei VPN sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 3.0 for Flare VPN against 3.0 for SharPei VPN. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SharPei VPN has 10 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.
