# AuthSecure vs Bare

The clearest difference is update cadence: Bare at every 8 days against AuthSecure's every 3 months. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. AuthSecure sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days and Bare sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

AuthSecure ships an update every 3 months, Bare every 8 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
