# Day Counter vs Datto

The clearest difference is ads: Datto at none against Day Counter's shown. Datto also leads on update cadence (every 3 days vs every 9 days). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Day Counter sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $2.99 per month and Datto sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Day Counter ships an update every 9 days, Datto every 3 days. Both last shipped on October 31, 2026.
