# Inku vs Nihongo Flow

The clearest difference is update cadence: Nihongo Flow at every 2 days against Inku's monthly. Nihongo Flow also leads on iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Inku sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and Nihongo Flow sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Inku ships an update monthly, Nihongo Flow every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
