# Dicey vs edEdit

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Dicey at none against edEdit's 1. Dicey also leads on ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). edEdit's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. edEdit sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Dicey asks for nothing beyond the download.

Dicey ships an update every 3 weeks, edEdit weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
