# BasicPlate vs V

The clearest difference is update cadence: V at every 2 days against BasicPlate's weekly. V also leads on device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.5 vs 18.0). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BasicPlate sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and V sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

BasicPlate ships an update weekly, V every 2 days. Both last shipped on October 31, 2026.
