# ScaleNote vs CosmeShelf

The clearest difference is update cadence: CosmeShelf at daily against ScaleNote's every 5 days. ScaleNote's advantage is iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ScaleNote sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and CosmeShelf sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ScaleNote ships an update every 5 days, CosmeShelf daily. Both last shipped on November 5, 2026.
