# AskBetter vs 9xchat

The clearest difference is update cadence: AskBetter at every 3 days against 9xchat's weekly. 9xchat's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. AskBetter sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days and 9xchat sells 7 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

AskBetter ships an update every 3 days, 9xchat weekly. The most recent releases landed on September 29, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
