# SnapPlayer vs Sergen Stream

The clearest difference is update cadence: Sergen Stream at every 2 days against SnapPlayer's every 5 days. SnapPlayer's advantage is device support (5 vs 3). On price, ads, in-app purchases and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SnapPlayer sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.29 per month and Sergen Stream sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SnapPlayer ships an update every 5 days, Sergen Stream every 2 days. Both last shipped on October 31, 2026.
