# ComicMax vs TabStory

The clearest difference is ads: ComicMax at none against TabStory's shown. ComicMax also leads on iOS requirement (13 vs 16.4). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ComicMax sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per 7 days and TabStory sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ComicMax ships an update every 3 weeks, TabStory fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on September 17, 2026 and September 23, 2026 respectively.
