# Hidey vs Bare

The clearest difference is update cadence: Bare at every 8 days against Hidey's every 3 weeks. Hidey's advantage is iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Hidey sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Bare sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Hidey ships an update every 3 weeks, Bare every 8 days. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
