# Weather.Co vs Storm Window

The clearest difference is monetization model: Weather.Co at free against Storm Window's free with in-app purchases. Weather.Co also leads on ratings volume (5 vs 1). On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Weather.Co sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Storm Window sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Weather.Co against 5.0 for Storm Window. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Weather.Co has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

Weather.Co ships an update every 4 days, Storm Window every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
