# Dumpling vs Recipe Note

The clearest difference is ads: Dumpling at none against Recipe Note's shown. Recipe Note's advantage is device support (4 vs 2) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 27.0). On price, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Dumpling sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Recipe Note sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Dumpling ships an update weekly, Recipe Note fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
