# Connectionary vs Word Connections Master

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Connectionary at 100% against Word Connections Master's 27%. Word Connections Master's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.2) and ratings volume (1.8K vs 5). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Connectionary sells 4 one-off in-app purchases and Word Connections Master sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Word Connections Master holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Word Connections Master has 1.8K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Connectionary's written reviews are positive against 27% of Word Connections Master's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Connectionary ships an update fortnightly, Word Connections Master every 8 days. Both last shipped on November 5, 2026.
