# Rotcut vs Vesper

The clearest difference is monetization model: Vesper at free with in-app purchases against Rotcut's subscription. Vesper also leads on iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). Rotcut's advantage is update cadence (every 4 days vs every 2 weeks). On price, rating, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Rotcut sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and Vesper sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Rotcut against 5.0 for Vesper. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 2 and 2 respectively.

Rotcut ships an update every 4 days, Vesper every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
