# WholeNote vs Edit Text In Photo

The clearest difference is review sentiment: WholeNote at 100% against Edit Text In Photo's 50%. WholeNote also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 4) and ads (none vs shown). Edit Text In Photo's advantage is price (Free vs $3.99) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 3 months). On device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Edit Text In Photo is free to download; WholeNote costs $3.99 up front. Edit Text In Photo sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. WholeNote asks for nothing beyond the download.

Edit Text In Photo holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Edit Text In Photo has 12 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of WholeNote's written reviews are positive against 50% of Edit Text In Photo's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

WholeNote ships an update every 3 months, Edit Text In Photo every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on October 31, 2026.
