# Age Vault vs Teletype

The clearest difference is update cadence: Teletype at every 6 days against Age Vault's every 3 weeks. Age Vault's advantage is iOS requirement (13.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Age Vault sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Teletype sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Age Vault ships an update every 3 weeks, Teletype every 6 days. Both last shipped on October 19, 2026.
